movie moment

Last week, at our friend Geoff's birthday party, we were entertaining ourselves asking questions like "What's your all-time favorite song?" or "How much would you pay to see your favorite band in concert?" (We always seem to end up on these sorts of group questions if my husband is involved.)Kent came up with a great one: "If you could be in one movie moment, what would it be?" Now, I pretty much hate these types of questions, cause as I've said before, I always draw a blank when they're asked. But my answer that night was a moment in "It's a Wonderful Life" (one of my all-time favorite movies) at the very end when George Bailey realizes that his lip is bleeding and that he's got Zuzu's petals in his pocket. He starts running through the town, jumping for joy, at the chance to have his life back.

I've been thinking more on this question...another moment came to me during my last post. In the movie "Chariots of Fire", that opening scene, it may even be while the opening credits are rolling...when the guys are running on the beach, in slow motion, to THAT song...wow...talk about goosebumps...that's an inspiring moment...

Let me know what movie moment you would choose...

Mary Poppins...when they jump through the sidewalk-chalk art... Or when they are cleaning their room just by snapping...or dancing on the roof tops...or having tea up near the ceiling with Uncle Albert...
well...the more I think about this movie the more I can come up with.

Call me a hopeless romantic...but I would love to be Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice when she sees Mr. Darcy (played by Matt, of course!!) walking towards her in the moor! *sigh*

Cheesy but true: The scene from The Sound of Music when Lisel and Rolph are singing and dancing in the gazebo, "I am 16 going on 17..."

Stengle and I went on the tour in Salzburg in college and tried our bests to reinact it, but somehow it wasn't quite the same.

I think I'd have to say Grease at the very end when Sandy and Danny sing...I love that movie :)

ok, I love the ENTIRE movie, but at the beginning of The Notebook when Ryan Gosling is smitten with Rachel McAdams and they are walking at night in the town and he makes her lay down in the middle of the street and they are just laying there laughing and being silly looking at the stars...i love that part!! ummm, still waiting on who i would want the guy to be though... ;)

I am still sticking with my Princess Bride moment. although I am stealing Bex's moment from The Notebook when they are in the street and slow-dancing without music. MY DREAM!!!

Oh honey---I have so many. I personally would have loved to be Sandy in the movie Grease where she kicks her red high heel on "John's" chest and says "Tell me about it..Stud".
That to me is just so liberating!
(ok..I'm digging) love you,

I have two movie moments

First, I'd be Keira Knightly in Pirates 3 when she gave the inspirational speech to the entire ship crew right before they were heading into battle to save their piratedom. Yeah!!

Second, I'd be Kate Bosworth in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton where Topher Grace stops her in the middle of the road and tells her about the many different smiles that she has. He notices the detailed things about her. Then they dance and I think they kiss. Or maybe I just wanted them to in my mind. Either way. Freaking romantic!

You people are all so serious, I want to be Pipi longstocking skating through my mess on sponge skates, having ice cream fights in the middle of the street! That is the stuff dreams are made of.
